Adding Custom Menus

Use the following steps to add a customized menu item to the EWS site:

  1. Open EWS System Settings to the Menu Items tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the menu items list (the first empty row).
  3. Click the Upper Menu drop-down list to select the primary menu for the new custom menu item.
  4. In the Order column, enter the Order for the menu item within the upper menu.
  5. In the Menu Title column, enter the text to display for this menu time.
  6. In the HyperLink column, enter the path to the page you want to display when the EWS user selects the menu item. The path can be a relative path within the EWS site, or a fully qualified URL to another web site.

    Examples:

    Relative path: ~/frmTimesheetGraph.aspx

    Fully qualified path: http://www.yourwebsite.com

  7. Optionally, enter a target attribute in the Target column. If you do not specify a target, the menu item will open in the current browser window.
  8. Click Save to save the custom menu.

Note: If you need to return the menus to their original configuration, use the Reset Menus button. Reset Menus deletes all custom menus and returns the menus to their original settings.
